Crime Reporting
Clery Act
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (originally known as the Campus Security Act) is a federal law requiring colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses. In compliance with this law, the USC Department of Public Safety (DPS) prepares an annual report presenting statistical information related to all of the university's campuses.
Crime Alerts
Because informed citizens are better able to ensure their safety as they go about their daily activities, DPS issues alerts about crimes against persons occurring in our communities in accordance with the "Timely Notice" requirements of the Clery Act.
