Public Health Threats

The university environment involves large numbers of students from many states and countries living and studying together in close proximity. Because of this, USC has emergency plans in place to protect our students - as well as our faculty, staff and visitors - in the event of an epidemic or pandemic disease.

Student health centers on both the University Park and Health Sciences campuses work closely with the Division of Student Affairs, Department of Public Safety and other offices to coordinate responses to actual and potential public health threats. USC also receives regular input from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and national agencies.
